Caring for your piece
How should I care for my JIZA piece?
Dry clean only. Modal silk is delicate, and professional dry cleaning keeps it soft, fluid and true to colour for years.
Can I wash it at home?
How do I iron it?
If it needs a press, use a warm iron on the reverse side. Pro tip: overlay a thin cotton towel on top of your favourite Jiza garment and iron.
Returns & exchanges
Can I return my order?
We’re a small business that makes in small batches, so we don’t offer returns for a change of mind. We’re always happy to exchange a piece if the size isn’t right, or if it arrives damaged or defective.
How do I exchange for a different size?
Write to us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and the size you need. The piece should be unworn, unwashed and have its tags attached. Exchanges depend on the size being in stock — if it isn’t, we’ll let you know straight away.
My piece arrived damaged or defective. What now?
We’re sorry — that shouldn’t happen. Please send us photos of the damage within 48 hours of delivery, along with your order number, and we’ll arrange a replacement.
I received the wrong item.
Let us know within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of what arrived, and we’ll send the right piece.

Within 48 hours of receiving your order.
How much does shipping cost?
Nothing extra. Our prices already include shipping, so the price you see is the price you pay.
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet — we currently ship only within India. But if you’ve fallen for a piece, reach out to us on Instagram at @thejizastudio and we’ll see what we can do.

Each piece is cut a little differently, so we describe the fit on every product page — you’ll know exactly how it sits before you order.
What if it doesn’t fit?
We’ll exchange it for another size — see Returns & exchanges above.
Fabric & prints
Where are your pieces made?
Every JIZA piece is made in India, in small batches. We’re a women-led, women-owned brand.
What is modal silk?
Modal silk is soft, light and beautifully fluid. It drapes like silk, feels smooth and cool against the skin, and has a gentle sheen that makes every print glow. Breathable and easy to wear all day long, it’s the fabric we chose for every JIZA piece.
Is the fabric see-through?
No. And where a piece needs it — like our vests and blazers — we add a soft lining.
Can I wear it in summer?
Absolutely — it’s made for it. Modal silk is lightweight and cool to the touch, so it stays comfortable on the warmest days.
Are your prints traditional Ajrakh?
Our prints are inspired by traditional Ajrakh, but every one is our own — designed by us at JIZA.
Will the colour look exactly like the photos?
Yes. We’ve taken great care to photograph every garment so the colours you see are true to the piece you’ll receive.
Orders & payment
Do you offer cash on delivery?
Not at the moment — all orders are paid online at checkout.
Is there a discount on my first order?

How many of each piece do you make?
Only a few. We make every design in a small, limited run, so there are only so many of each piece out there. You won’t walk into a room where everyone is wearing the same thing.
